Aeroméxico generated operating profits for the first time since the start of the pandemic

Aeromexico recorded an operating profit of 330 million Mexican pesos (USD 16 million) in the third quarter of 2021, which represents the first quarterly period with that indicator out of the red since the start of the pandemic.

This is also a significant improvement when compared to the previous quarter, a period in which the group had operating losses of 1,200 million pesos. Financial results

Revenues for the third quarter of 2021 reached 13.2 billion pesos, an increase of 32.2% compared to the second quarter of this year. The increase in revenue from domestic flights was 20.2%, and 58.4% from international operations. However, the airline is still far from its 2019 record: when compared to that year, total revenues decreased 27.9%. This is mainly attributed to the reduction in operations derived from the impact of the pandemic, especially in international markets.
